- Merck in collaboration with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) conducted a study to examine the impact of the global pandemic on the well-being & mental health of US veterinarians & support teams
- The study aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by these professionals & their support systems along with the managing approach chosen with the help of Merck & AVMA. This is the 4th study following the previous benchmark studies conducted in 2017, 2019 & 2021
- The analysis has shown positive outcomes incl. high levels of job satisfaction & pride in work across veterinary teams along with challenges incl. a shortage of qualified veterinary team members as well as burdensome student debt that causes stress
